Asus Eee Pad Transformer

OK, the real reason I haven't posted in so long is I've been busy playing with my Asus Eee Pad Transformer. That isn't true, either. But, it is pretty cool.

I also got the keyboard dock and love it. It's $110 more than the cheapest carrying cases I was looking at, adds a keyboard and an extra battery. With that thing I can play with my tablet all day and don't have to worry charging. Heck, I could probably go days without having to charge that thing. I play with it off and on all day and evening and it still shows ~98% battery power by the time I charge it up at night.

Sony's been killing me

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, it's entirely Sony's fault. I've been so busy trying to rectify all the trouble they caused I haven't had time to post anything here. That actually isn't true. Although, getting new cards for The Wife and me was a bit of a hassle...

Anyone who has Netflix and hasn't seen them should add Super-size Me and Fat Head to their instant queue.

Carry on.

PS3 owners call your bank

Is is no longer a question of whether, or not, the hacker(s) who got into PSN stole credit card information. Call your bank, ASAP!

Easter for adults

Asus released their Eee Pad Transformer today, and finding one is like Easter for adults; they're sold out everywhere. Apparently, Asus was having supply issues even before the US launch. If anyone finds a vendor with any available, please let the rest of us know!

SMC amongst greatness

Recently, we added some JavaScript to SMCeasy.com in order to help get the word out about IE6. And, Microsoft was so grateful that they put up our logo, along with a link to the site. Sure, there are a few hundred other logos on the page, but SMC is there, too! :-D

Costco WMD

I'm pretty sure a background check should be required before all Costco polish sausage purchases. I can't even get one of the dogs to come near me after I've had one. But oh, are they tasty! :-D

Good news for tablet-lovers

PCworld posted an article on a Gartner report that says prices on tablets should be about half what they are now, sometime in 2015. Along with increasing their share of the market. Good stuff. :-D

FPS from makers of Eve Online

Ars has a short write-up about a FPS CCP (the makers of Eve Online) should be releasing late 2011. Basically, players of Eve Online will be able to hire FPS players to carry out missions on the surface of planets in the Eve Online universe. It's a concept that gave me goosebumps. :-D

Google Nexus tablet???

Since Motorola has unbelievably botched the Xoom launch, I had pretty much written them off and was considering an Asus Eee Pad. Then today, I read news of a rumored Google Nexus tablet. This obviously piqued my interest. I'll keep you posted as I find out more...
